Berezovsky wins libel suit over Litvinenko murder

A British court has ordered a Russian state TV channel to pay exiled Russian tycoon Boris Berezovsky two hundred and twenty five thousand dollars. Berezovsky filed the lawsuit after a 2007 report claimed he was involved in the poisoning of the former KGB agent. But the company claims the trial was unfair and violated international conventions of freedom of speech. RT’s Laura Emmett is LIVE in London to give us the details.

    There’s plenty to …
There’s plenty to be gained. If there wasn’t, then Washington/London/NY wouldn’t seek with such effort & capital to extend dollar hegemony at any/all costs, including those of replete state collapse.

  2. That’s what they …
That’s what they say as a way to string the North African autocrats along, so that the North Africans hold out on offers of Russia and China, and the price of oil on the futures’ market gets set to a value which better suits the other firms. There is nothing to be gained for Russia and/or China competing to be holders of the fool’s gold, of the world’s reserve fiat currency.

    You’re not thinking …
You’re not thinking, charlessmyth. Russia & China are *joined at the hip*, geo-strategically, and are collaborating heavily in propping an alternative to the petro-dollar standard. As for Libya, again, tell that to ConocoPhillips, Oxy, Shell, Amerada Hess and other firms still salivating over North African fields.

As Russia has no judicial security whatsoever he´d be a fool to do so.
As long as your Oligarchs prefer to rule like a Tsar better get out quick….

  8. Okay. The …
Okay. The difference here is that the Chinese have a million-man army and a nuclear arsenal on Russia’s border and can smack Russia down if it steps out of line. As for Britain sucking the Libyan oil teat, that’s why Britain has returned to the south Atlantic so that Gadhafi gets to suffer the consequences of being a price taker, in a buyer’s market, headed up by China and Russia.
