Is that supposed to be a question?

WHy is it OK for English to go to Ireland, France, Italy, Scotland, Costa del Sol, Algarve, Dubai etc. etc. and destroy those local communities, but wrong for anyone to move to the UK?

beacause although the country is allowing ommigrants, it is doing little to reflect & stabalise the people & the side effects of non harmonisation in communities…

people feel that their country, houses & jobs are being given away .. instead of fighting to achieve these thingsm its easy to blame the new-comer isn’t it…

I think it’s because of the percieved effect on the economy.

Migrant Labour is keeping wages down, but as these migrants need housing, their presence is pushing the cost of living up.

    Double whammy!

All asylum seekers are bogus in the UK unless they come from France. People in genuine fear for their safety are supposed to go to the nearest safe country, not travel several thousand miles and across various continents to get here ,where they know they will be set up for life.

I’m curious who "we" are but Brits are concerned because they feel there are allot of immigrants coming into the country, the truth is there are allot so much so that the change is visibly obvious. There wouldn’t be a problem except that the government have been denying there are so many and offering benefits to them, that seem to be more than they offer to British people.

There is a big difference between immigrants and illegal immigrants and Asylum seekers can be either. The Brits are more concerned about the illegals than the other but combined the number has shocked Britain. I believe this will be sorted out though, eventually, we’re British!

Your country like ours (USA) is too liberal for its own good. You and we have lost our borders, language and culture to people who don’t give a crap about assimilating. They come in and suck it dry. And sadly we let them.

    first ask the government

why did they meddle in the affairs of other independent countries
why destabilise and setup puppet rulers in the hope of reaping its natural assets…
why fight wars not in your country
why spend billions to do above
    history repeats itself….

The british came to india and instead of trading, britain became greedy and swiftly remove the chiefdoms there and made india a british annexe and thus its ppl are half british subjects..
they did this to half the world over…..

china, russia, the middle east.europe doesnt seem to have problems of ppl seeking asylum there.

what did britain promise to the ppl of hongkong before handover?
what were britain doing in hongkong anyway… far from england different ppl, culture, and how much has britain vacuumed off hongkong in all those years?

    you reap what you sow…

Tell me How many countries do u know that will give out housing – schooling -health care – child benifit – driving lessons – money for a car ect, when immigrating NONE except our one. This is why the british people are concerned. when immigrating to another country you personally need to sort all these things out for yourselfbecause you will not get any help from other governments

Perhaps it is that the Brits where never asked if they wanted all of the extra "guests" living in their lands in the first place. It was just assumed that they would want the third worlders so that they could make up for past "evils".

EC regulations means that movement around Europe has become easier. Consequently, people form poorer countries have come to Britain to improve their standard of living, There’s nothing wrong with that except for the numbers of people were alot larger than expected, and in some areas services have been stretched. However, most are hardworking and found work and add to the economy, and probobly are more beneficial to the community that teenage mums or council benefit scroungers.

Brits are concerned because they see foreigners getting preferential treatment and our British traditional way of life has either gone or under threat.
If we British born and bread apply for any kind of benefits we have to show a birth certificate or passport or driving licence to prove who we are, if you come from a remote village in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and say you are an asylum seeker you do not have to prove anything, the council takes your word. If you want a passport and you are not a Muslim you can’t smile for the photograph but if you are a Muslim woman you can cover you’re whole face.
If we live abroad for more than 3 months our child’s allowance stops, Polish women can claim for children not living in Britain.

Perhaps people complain because these extra benefits that we so freely give to other nationals, take away the benefits that millions of our Grand and Great Grandparents fought so hard for and paid with their lives in order to give us a better life.

When Brits move elsewhere we pay, we do not get "freebies" most have retired or cashed in on assets, many open bars or hotels which add to the economy. They have worked and paid taxes all their lives. Most importantly they do not seek to change the country they have entered, they may have an "ex pats" organisations but they respect the culture of the country they have settled in and leave it be. As for as asylum seekers, they have an obligation and a duty to settle in the first "safe" country they reach. A true seeker of asylum would do this, the rest are looking for a free ride. Why? As I have stated in other responses we are the soft touch of Europe, welfare benefits, free housing, free health care, priority over the indigenous population, apathy, brainwashing, PC, the land of plenty etc. etc. I am tired of repeating all of this , if I had the wherewithal I would be gone!
