What do you think of Robin Williams plan for America?

Posted on March 17th, 2010 by admin

Obviously some of this is completely sarcastic, but you get where he is going. In my opinion, this is the most logical solution to our problems and should finally stop all the bitching from the left and right.

1) ‘The US will apologize to the world for our ‘interference’ in their affairs, past & present. You know, Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Tojo, Noriega, Milosevic, Hussein, and the rest of those ‘good ‘ole’ boys’, we will never ‘interfere’ again.

2) We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with Germ any , South Korea , the Middle East , and the Philippines . They don’t want us there. We would station troops at our borders. No one allowed sneaking through holes in the fence..

3) All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and leave We’ll give them a free trip home. After 90 days the remainder will be gathered up and deported immediately, regardless of whom or where they are. They’re illegal!!! France will welcome them.

4) All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to 90 days unless given a special permit!!!! No one from a terrorist nation will be allowed in. If you don’t like it there, change it yourself and don’t hide here. Asylum would never be available to anyone. We don’t need any more cab drivers or 7-11 cashiers.

5) No foreign ’students’ over age 21. The older ones are the bombers.. If they don’t attend classes, they get a ‘D’ and it’s back home baby.

6) The US will make a strong effort to become self-sufficient energy wise. This will include developing nonpolluting sources of energy but will require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will have to cope for a while

7) Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don’t like it, we go someplace else. They can go somewhere else to sell their production. (About a week of the wells filling up the storage sites would be enough.)

8) If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not ‘interfere.’ They can pray to Allah or whomever, for seeds, rain, cement or whatever they need. Besides most of what we give them is stolen or given to the army. The people who need it most get very little, if anything.

9) Ship the UN Headquarters to an isolated island someplace. We don’t need the spies and fair weather friends here. Besides, the building would make a good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens.

10) All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can call us ‘Ugly Americans’ any longer. The Language we speak is ENGLISH..learn it….or LEAVE…Now, isn’t that a winner of a plan?

‘The Statue of Liberty is no longer saying ‘Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses.’ She’s got a baseball bat and she’s yelling, ‘you want a piece of me?’ ‘

For the most part his logic is sensible, but the growing herd of ultra-liberal sheep will no doubt, tongue-lash him for his statements. I still don’t understand why securing our borders from people who haphazardly increase costs for health care, living expenses and educational for every tax paying U.S. citizen is wrong. On top of this many are either repeat felons unwanted by their own country of origin, have no desire to become legal citizens here other than anchor-baby status or bring in some form of medical affliction with them. It is also an all-time low point when border patrol authorities are not allowed to perform their duties without backlash from droopy-eyed politicians or special interest groups. They only see illegal immigrants as potential voters (legally, or ACORN-style). In any event, I’m sure the Hollywood drones will rise up to verbally attack Mr. Williams.

Beloved citizens of the UK: Do you regard Americans as undereducated/simple folks, i.e. not unlike our Pres.?

Posted on March 15th, 2010 by admin

Or do most acknowledge that he dissaproval rating is incredibly high, and that many of us are European immigrants to this country merrely seeking political asylum/ and or a better life? I personally regard those in the UK as most impressive and dignified people, but does the reciprocal hold true? I imagine that many feel that our President has tainted our complexity and appearance in the world, I am curious to know if we’re placed in the same box as our rather un-sophisticated president?
well, come on fellows, don’t be so hard on me, I just came home from a 16 hour shift in the hospital, granted my spelling/grammar are atrocious, but give me a break. I was born in America, and I love this country, and I’ve contributed more than you could imagine. I voted for our President in both terms, so I don’t think it’s fair to say I don’t respect him, rather that his foreign policies are not in keeping with a leader of such a wealthy country, I certainly hold complete allegiance to my birth place, America, but simply am curious as to how we’re viewed by the citizens of other countries who have been around for many centuries before us. come on, gents, attacking my grammar/spelling, isn’t that a bit juvenile/presumptuous?

I don’t agree with G.C. (above me)

I do no dislike (!) President Bush; at the same time I’m sure that many American people seat mentally and morally much higher than their representatives

somehow tainted your appearance is indeed, because of the militaristic OBSESSION of your Government "nuke’em, invade, control"; nobody’s perfect.

>>>>>
…and, after the comment of Crouching Doggie (foreign policies) I really feel congenial to him.

Why is everyone so biased about the Israel/Palestine war?

Posted on March 13th, 2010 by admin

I have read a lot of questions about this war on yahoo answers, and it seems to me that everyone has chosen a side and quite aggressively defends it.
But the point of this war is based on questions NO ONE really knows the answer to, which is why it continues.
Palestine was once occupied mainly by Muslim people, over time, more and more Jewish people entered it, mainly to find asylum away from persecution in Europe. This increase in Jewish population got to a point where they wanted independence from Palestine, and a vote from the UN decided the country would be divided. This did not sit well the Palestinians, who had been peacefully occupying the whole country for a long time before all this, and is what started the revolt. The Jewish claim that the land should actually all be rightfully theirs, based on historical religious documents, however the evidence is questionable, and is refuted by just as questionable opposing evidence. Years and years of debate between the 2 nations has escalated into deeply patriotic beliefs where the both sides believe passionately, and are willing to give their lives, that the country should rightfully be theirs.
Feel free to correct me where I am wrong, but I think if any of you do the research you can not irrefutably claim that one side is right and the other is wrong. I think we all agree both sides have used violence and people have sadly lost their lives.

If you make a claim in this section, I would like to see evidence that what you say is true, or at least somewhat accurate.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1948_Arab%E2%80%93Israeli_War
Like I said, both sides have questionable evidence for why the land should rightfully be theirs. I personally would like patriotism shot down, and for everyone on Earth to consider the whole world their country, and stop trying to own parts of it. Obviously that would come with it’s own problems. But if you look at nations of individuals of people just like you and me, and stop generalising them to what country they live in, people everywhere are just trying to survive, raise families and live happy lives.
To the person who said the Jews had the country for 2000+ years (no evidence provided) and then the Palestines had control of it for 1500 years (also no evidence provided), and then that the Jews were reclaiming what is rightfully theirs. Does this apply to the rest of the world or only the Jews are allowed to do it? I live in Australia, should I leave the country with the whole 20 million other people because the Aboriginals want it back. Should the the 300 million Americans go look for somewhere else to "sqwat" since Indians were there before them? What happened in the past to get the land is not something we should be proud of, but in modern day why are there still people trying to forcefully take land.

Sadly that’s how we are. Most of us feel we should fight for what we believe in. You see that in movies a lot. Unfortunately it inevitably comes to a point resulting into violence in real life. I don’t think we’ve evolved enough to transcend this disastrous flaw in our nature. Human conflict of this magnitude has happened for thousands of years, and all it teaches us is that it ends up with one side dominating and the other yielding. The differences we possess are what define us and enrich us, and ironically, divide us from each other as well… a most powerful double edged sword. A simple albeit naive solution would be sharing, cohabitation.. but people inherently complicate everything. The tricky part making all parties satisfied. It can get as extreme as Forex trading .. no one can profit without someone else losing ..

Should Robin Williams be a political consultant or some kind of Czar?

Posted on March 11th, 2010 by admin

Quote Robin Williams – "I see a lot of people yelling for peace but I have not heard of a plan for peace. So, here’s one plan."

1.) The US will apologize to the world for our "interference" in their affairs, past and present. You know, Hitler, Mussolini, Tojo, Noriega, Milosevic and the rest of those ‘good ole boys’. We will never "interfere" again.

2.) We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with Germany, South Korea and the Philippines. They don’t want us there. We would station troops at our borders. No one sneaking through holes in the fence.

Would this plan work?
Coincidence? – Yes he did, At his HBO special in New York 2002.

That would be a great plan, he did say it too, although he has become more liberal now, he was fired up then!

Will my PITIFUL existence ever end?

Posted on March 9th, 2010 by admin

I’m less than a week from becoming 25. I live with my parents. I have no car. I live a good 4 miles from ANYTHING. I earn a B average at an online school, but for what good? I don’t have any money. I’ve un-knowingly passed up relationships for 10 years ( my last girlfriend was about 10 years ago ). I’ve tried everything to leave this place ( my parent’s home ), but am now so frustrated that I don’t even want to live anymore. I see no purpose to my continued existence, but I’ve thought about ending it before and ended up in a state asylum; I was structured there. It kills me that I must accept taking money from the government; I feel like a drain on the economy. I’m so very bored with life. I want this movie to end but it seems like I am being laughed at by my creator; it will never be over.

You’re an idiot.
Get off ur ass and live your life the way you want to. There’s no creator that controls you, ur in full control of ur life.
You’re just a lazy guy.

‘I see a lot of people yelling for peace but I have not heard of a plan for peace.?

Posted on March 7th, 2010 by admin

You gotta love Robin Williams……..Even if he’s nuts! Leave it to Robin Williams to come up with the perfect plan. What we need now is for our UN Ambassador to stand up and repeat this message.
Robin Williams’ plan…(Hard to argue with this logic!)

‘I see a lot of people yelling for peace but I have not heard of a plan for peace. So, here’s one plan.’

1) ‘The US/ UK/ AUSTRALIA will apologize to the world for our ‘interference’ in their affairs, past & present. You know, Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Tojo, Noriega, Milosevic, Hussein, and the rest of those ‘good ‘ole’ boys’, we will never ‘interfere’ again.

2) We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting withGermany , South Korea , the Middle East , and the Philippines . They don’t want us there. We would station troops at our borders. No one allowed sneaking through holes in the fence.

6) The US /UK/Australia will make a strong effort to become self-sufficient energy wise.

10) All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can call us ‘Ugly Americans’ any longer. The Language we speak is ENGLISH..learn it…or LEAVE…Now, isn’t that a winner of a plan?
‘The Statue of Liberty is no longer saying ‘Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses.’ She’s got a baseball bat and she’s yelling, ‘you want a piece of me?’

True peace is no more achievable goal than ending terrorism. Working towards peace and fighting against terrorism are processes that must always exist, but they can never end. Just like Buddhists aren’t enlightened just because they decide to try, peace isn’t attained just because people try. It’s a process.

When the Nobel committee gave a peace prize to our president, half of America claimed that he didn’t deserve it. Never mind the fact that they don’t understand the nature of the prize, the fact that he has to face criticism even from those who (in principle) support his efforts proves that peace is never going to be attainable.

It doesn’t matter if people don’t see a light at the end of the tunnel. There is no light if you just entered it. The path is long and it is dark, but it is one that we all must travel or else we will never make progress.
