Should the children of asylum seekers be held in detention centres?
‘A leading Church of England bishop has hit out at the government’s policy of detaining child asylum-seekers, describing it as a "shameful practice."
The Bishop of Ripon and Leeds the Rt Revd John Packer, who is a representative of the Urban Bishop’s Panel, spoke out on Monday in support of the End Child Detention Now campaign.’

All asylum seekers should be kept in detention centres until their claim has been processed.
The claims should be processed quickly and efficiently and if not upheld then they should be deported quickly as well.
Just a shame that the UK is so far behind other EU countries in dealing with this sort of thing.
