Should the children of asylum seekers be held in detention centres?

‘A leading Church of England bishop has hit out at the government’s policy of detaining child asylum-seekers, describing it as a "shameful practice."
The Bishop of Ripon and Leeds the Rt Revd John Packer, who is a representative of the Urban Bishop’s Panel, spoke out on Monday in support of the End Child Detention Now campaign.’

Are you talking economic migrants, you know the ones who paid thousands of $s?

The ones who will not claim asylum in France or Italy etc?

The ones who chose to try to get to the UK illegally?

    Don’t make me laugh!

Edit (face it these people are bad parents)

they should be repatriated back to their homelands with their parents, it costs enough as it is to feed and house bogus asylum seekers their kids cost twice that. if the church of england is so concerned then they can give them sanctuary

  11. All asylum seekers should be kept in detention centres until their claim has been processed.
The claims should be processed quickly and efficiently and if not upheld then they should be deported quickly as well.

Just a shame that the UK is so far behind other EU countries in dealing with this sort of thing.
