Where can I get general genealogical information on patients in the Colorado State Hospital (now closed)?

There were two relatives that have since passed that were in this state hospital/asylum in the 1920’s and 1930’s at least. I am kind of stuck on these two individuals in this part of our history.

I didn’t know they closed the state hospital. below is listed a link that may assist you. This hospital has been around since 1879 and probably will be around for more then our life time.

The Colorado State Archives might have basic information on them, especially if it was an involuntary admission. But their medical records are long gone. You’d have to contact the State Archives and see which files were sent to them by the hospital and what their retention and retrieval policies are on them.
