I’m looking into ghost stories around Virginia and one is the tale of the Bunnyman Bridge. Well I’ve come across several stories of a clifton insane asylum being shut down and the inhabitants being relocated to a Lorton prison. Well, can anybody tell me where I might be able to look to see how much of this story is based on fact and how much is based on fiction?
Info on Lorton Prison can be found at

Tale of Bunnyman Bridge
A long time ago or so the one version of the legend goes, there was a man in Fairfax County who was not well liked in the area. He kept to himself and people thought he was just weird. One night the preacher came to visit the man and saw a light in his barn. The preacher went to the barn and as the door was cracked, pushed it open and went inside. There, the preacher saw the man standing on top of a pentagram that had been drawn on the barn floor. He was holding a cup that was dripping blood and chanting words that the preacher did not understand. To the man’s left was a cow laying in a pool of blood from where its throat has been cut. The cow also had the brand of the neighbor at the next farm.
The preacher, witnessing all this, ran away. He went to the police and the police went out there and found the man. He was prosecuted for theft but the man spoke of how he only did what the demon told him to do. The courts found the man mentally unstable and placed him into a nearby insane asylum(Clifton). As he was taken away from the courtroom he started screaming about his work not being done, that they would all pay for interrupting him and that the demon would have his revenge.
No one paid him any attention, thinking that the man had just lost it and was crazy. Almost a year later, the man escaped from the asylum. The police searched the area but did not find him. After a week, the children of the area were all talking about a Bunnyman that gave them candy and played with them. The parents didn’t really pay any attention to them as they thought their children were making up an imaginary friend. This went on for awhile. The children all played in the woods together. The place they played at the most was at a bridge where the train came. The children were told not to play there because parents were scared that they would be hit by a train, but the kids geing kids, always went there anyway.
Bunnyman continued to play with the children. He had sworn revenge on the town and it was soon time to act. One afternoon, the children were playing and Bunnyman appeared. He gave them candy and started to tell them a story. As he told the story, the seven children he was with began to fall asleep. They had been drugged. Bunnyman dragged them to the woods by the bridge. There he tied nooses around each child’s neck and hanged each of them from a tree. He then took a knife and slit each child’s wrist and collected the blood in a bottle.
By evening, when the children had not come home, their parents started to search for them. They searched the county and finally ended up near the bridge. There, they found the seven children, hanging from the trees, pale white. The police searched the surrounding area and finally found Bunnyman. He was standing once again in a pentagram drawn on the ground and was drinking from the bottle holding the children’s blood. He spotted the police and started to run back to the bridge. He saw that a train was coming and raced on to the bridge. He then simply stood on the tracks laughing as he looked down at the police. The police tried to get to him before the train but they were not quick enough. The train hit Bunnyman who continued laughing to the very end. Some of the policemen later said that they heard that laugh in their nightmares for weeks afterwards.
The body of Bunnyman was never recovered. Some say that he had sacrificed the children to the devil who in turn gave Bunnyman everlasting life. Some say Bunnyman still haunts the bridge, swearing revenge on anyone who goes there. Some say you can see the ropes hanging from trees late at night. Some say you can hear the screaming of the children and the laughter of Bunnyman
In an appeal to the United Nations, Orly Taitz says she is the victim of human rights abuses at the hands of the United States – from intimidation to an assassination attempt – and the US justice system is turning a blind eye.
Should/will the UN intervene? If so, what can they do in this situation? Dispatch peacekeepers? Grant her political asylum in a neutral country?

In order for the UN to "intervene" it would require that it pass the Security Council.
A right wing myth (or complete incomprehension) of the UN is that everyone could gang up on the US and make it do whatever the rest of the world wants.
But, the General Assembly has no power to pass "binding" resolutions. It can only give suggestions.
In order for the "UN" to do anything binding it has to pass the Security Council. In order to pass the Security Council, however, it needs the votes of NINE of the 15 members. But, in addition, the five permanent members of the Security Council must all vote for it (or they can abstain). So in reality you need the votes of all five member permanent members, plus four others.
So, basically, peacekeepers will never be sent to the permanent member states:
China
Russia
France
Britain
USA
So peacekeepers is out of the question.
Additionally, the UN is merely the forum of states. The forum itself cannot grant asylum.
This doesn’t keep Nepal or someplace from granting her asylum, since nobody would pass a Security Council Resolution banning giving her asylum.
Of course, I picture every other country laughing at her as much as we do in the US. May Kim Jong-Il or Chavez would try to score political points. But I don’t think Chavez would get involved. Kim Jong-Il is a weird guy, who knows what he thinks?
i met a man in greece who is a refugge from ghana but seeking assylum in greece. we met over the internet. how would it be legal and possible to marry him and be with him and bring him here to america? can anyone helpo me out?
Why is he a refugee from Ghana seeking asylum? That doesn’t make sense as there is no reason for people to flee Ghana unless they are homosexual, which is illegal in Ghana. Otherwise there are no wars in Ghana, the country is stable, the economy is growing and there is freedom of religion. Ghana is actually a country that accepts refugees form places like Liberia and Togo who have conflicts in their countries.
How well do you really know this person? Are you sure hes an actual asylum seeker and not an economic migrant? If youve never met, can you really be sure hes not just using you to come to the US since hes had no luck getting a visa in an EU country? You cant get a fiance visa if you havent met and have proof youve spent time together so thats the first step you have to take. If he has no legal status in Greece hed probably have to go back to Ghana to wait for his fiance visa after you met as you need to be interviewed at the embassy in your country of legal residence.
the new director chris nolan is going for a realistic approach on his films, so that could narrow what inmates we get to see, if you have played Arkham asylum on xbox or ps3, you can see all the villains some of them are pretty crap, like moth man, and others i forget their names,
i think if he done the Riddler it might be pretty cool or Dr freeze or penguin they might be tricky to pull off though, the croc, and the great white shark again difficult to fit in,
he seems to be picking villains that were not in the original batman films (apart from the joker) so you never know
why the hell should they come into our country and take all our benifits and house etc wen there r real people that want a job but cant get one cos of all these asylum seekers r doing it for less money it makes me feel sick to be british, wat the hell has this country come to wen we cant sort out our imigration system, and in glasgow the majority of unemployed people can not get employed cos of of these people come in and take all of the benifits that all the armed forces people work for god bless there soles, they must go out to these war zones come home and wonder what the hell went wong with there country while they were away, what a rubbish country do you agree or not
For your information i am employed, I am a current member of HM Forces and spend most of my life away from my family sorting out everybody else’s problems. So before certain people start having a pop may i ask a question? are you a desk jockey with great ideas and absoloutely no idea about the real world(your own little world doesn’t count). Have you ever walked down a street in UK in military uniform and been spat at by somebody who shouldn’t even be here.
i apologise for the spelling mistakes ang grammer but when the Q was posted i was quite tipsy and annoyed after watching a documentary on this subject
You really are ignorant, aren’t you?
Have you had benefits removed and been thrown out of your house? Well, how have they taken your benefits and houses?
Asylum seekers are, by law, not allowed to work while their cases are being heard. So they aren’t taking anyone’s job.
In Glasgow, the majority of unemployed can’t get employment because they don’t have the skills that employers are looking for.
So, are asylum seekers drawing benefits, or are they working because you seem confused about this?
Perhaps the armed forces are fighting for a free and tolerant United Kingdom – have you asked them all?
I suspect you are unemployed and without qualifications to get you a job. But you find that blaming asylum seekers for your plight absolves you from any responsibility for your situation, so you don’t have to make any effort. Very convenient.
There are serious questions to be asked about immigration, but your ignorant rant misses the point completely.
If it’s any consolation, there is one thing we agree on – I feel sick that you’re British, too.
